Dedication to an unseen God is difficult. It’s much easier to be dedicated to a god you can look on with your own two eyes; a god that can be touched, felt, seen. A material god for material people. That’s how the Jews felt at Mount Sinai: “give us something we can see! We can serve something we can see. We’ll even sign up to be enslaved, as long as we can see our master!.” Today we’ll see how our unseen heavenly Father is better than a material slave-driver.
