Children's Ministry
Welcome to Mountainside Kids!
We love kids here at Mountainside, which is a good thing because we are bursting at the seems with them! We have a variety of ways for kids to get connected and grow in their faith in Jesus and friendship with others:
Sunday School and Nursery
Our team of Sunday school and Nursery volunteers provide teaching and care during our Sunday morning services. Here are the age ranges that we are able to accommodate during our services:
Our first service will offer:
- A Nursery for our smallest Mountainsiders aged 0-2.
- A Preschool class for 3- 4 year olds
- And a Kindergarten- grade 3 class
The second Service will offer:
- A Kindergarten- grade 2 class
- Grades 3-4 class
- Grades 5-6 class
A couple things to note:
- If you have not done so already, please register your child for the 2021/22 year by using the button below.
- Please come to church a bit early to sign your children in at the sign up table. The kids will stay with their parents for worship and will be dismissed after the offering to come upstairs for Sunday School.
- If your child is in Grade 1 or under a parent must escort their child to their classroom and pick them up.
- If your child is in diapers or needs assistance to the bathroom you will be sent a text to come assist.
- If your child presents any unwell symptoms they will not be allowed to attend.

Designer Girls
Thank you for your interest in our Designer Girls Program! We believe that each person was designed with special talents and a purpose. This program hopes to help grade 5-6 girls to grow in confidence in who they were created to be.
We will meet every other Thursday upstairs at Mountainside Community Church alternating with Jr. Youth’s Impact program. We play games, do crafts, practice memory verses and read age appropriate devotionals to discuss while creating a safe environment where girls can learn how to respect and communicate well with their peers. Making lifelong friendships is just a bonus!
You are always welcome to come and check us out. We will be meeting Thursdays at 6 pm – 7:30 pm at Mountainside Church. Please feel free to contact Renata at sundayschool@mountainsidechurch.ca with any questions. We look forward to this opportunity to get to know the girls!

Dudes Group
Thank you for your interest in our Dudes Group Program! We believe that each person was designed with special talents and a purpose. This program hopes to help grade 4-6 boys to grow in confidence in who they were created to be.
We will meet every other Thursday at Mountainside Community Church alternating with Jr. Youth’s Impact program. We will play games, do dudley activities, practice memory verses and discuss age appropriate devotionals in order to help boys grow in respect, communication and faith as young men!

Impact Jr. Youth
Impact Jr. Youth is for kids grades 3-6 and runs in both Sparwood and Fernie.
Impact is a high energy night filled with exciting games, songs, Bible lessons and friends! It will be the highlight of your kids week as they grow together, play together and laugh together.
