“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” According to those words from the Apostle Paul, since the beginning of time, God planned a climax for his creation. That climax was to adopt you into his own family. All of time and creation have been leading up to your adoption into the Father’s nuclear family. That sounds like a big deal. But does your experience reflect the bigness of the deal? Does it feel monumental to be adopted into God’s family? Or does it feel more like “mmeh….sure.” Most of us want to experience a close family connection to the Father. And the good news is the Holy Spirit wants to make you feel that connection.
